OYR X Bon Chapeau Yonder Ranges Nimbin Cap
Sometimes human ingenuity can strike in the unlikeliest of places. Take the humble pre-Colombian Peruvians, who, in around 500AD, and semi-calcified in a moment of abject boredom, created the earliest-known examples of tie-dye. Taking fabrics and dying them with a systematic process of string and bright colour dyes, they created not only a powerful new fashion trend, but by focussing almost purely on small circles and lines, they invented the world’s first wearable board game - Connect 4.
Fast forward to 2016 and tie-dye has evolved through Asia, down through Africa, and now, finally, Over Yonder has its first tie-dye product. And yet ours has a very distinct heritage, recalling the bright colours, patterns and textures of one of our favourite Aussie towns - Nimbin. Proudly then, our tie-dye range bears the town’s name.
The discerning fashion appraiser will appreciate the quality use of vegan dyes and vibrant colours in our first cap, lovingly stitched and crafted by the gang at Bon Chapeau.
